With trilen Twin white, the main film and the underlay film are supplied on a single roll. This allows both films to be pulled over the silo in one time-saving operation. The film should be laid loosely over the silage so that it can form a fermentation gas dome and adapt to the unevenness of the silage surface. As CO_₂ from the fermentation process settles, it draws the underlay film onto the silage. Stretching the film tightly increases the risk of foot damage and can later lead to the formation of air channels. For optimum protection, silage protection nets as well as silage bags around the edges and as cross barriers for weighting should always be used. The film is available in various sizes to suit different silo dimensions.
