Serving you for over 90 years – professional, fair, reliable.

Our roots – Our Roots – Founded with Courage, Grown with Integrity

In 1928, Joachim Behrens founded our company with a small trading business in Bremen. From machine oils and floor polish to binder twine – he had an early sense of what farmers truly needed. The move to Scheeßel marked the start of a decades-long journey defined by change, innovation and close customer relationships. The mindset from those days still drives us today: entrepreneurial thinking, human-centered action.

Today, jbs (joachim behrens scheessel gmbh) employs over 100 people – many of whom have been with us for years, some for decades. What unites us is a shared commitment to supporting our customers with expert advice, quality products and true reliability. Whether in sales, logistics or customer service – we live a culture where everyone can contribute and every voice counts.

Innovation from Scheeßel – active across Europe

We've long since expanded beyond Lower Saxony. Our products are shipped to Austria, the Benelux countries, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the United Kingdom – supported by native-speaking teams and modern logistics. What defines us: staying close, even across distances. Our customers trust us because we listen, remain flexible and aren't afraid to think differently.

In Visselhövede since 2016

With just under 90 employees, Visselhövede has been and remains our largest location. In addition to a sales building, the site also features a service building and several warehouses. The property is a former military barracks that we purchased in 2016. Of course, we don’t need the entire space, so we share the buildings with many other companies and private individuals. If you’re currently looking for a rental space, warehouse, or parking spot, feel free to check out our Campus page.

jbs bouncy fun for hire!

If you planning an open farm day or similar event at your farm, you’re welcome to rent our bouncy castle – and, if needed, our cow tent as well.

We support two projects of Opportunity International Germany (OID) that are especially important to us. That’s why renting our bouncy castle is connected to a voluntary donation to OID with the amount entirely up to you. Upon request, OID will gladly issue a donation receipt.
