Protection of silo walls

When making silage, the influence of the walls of the clamp silo on feed quality is often underestimated. If no suitable sidewall film is used, air or moisture can penetrate between the wall and the silage – with serious consequences: secondary heating, mould growth and feed losses at the silo edges are common problems. In addition, aggressive silage acids attack unprotected concrete walls and can damage the silo walls in the long term. This is where the protec sidewall film comes in – as reliable protection and a complement to your silage film cover.

protec side wall film – effective protection for your silage

The protec side wall film offers an effective solution to ensure silage quality throughout the entire silo. With a thickness of 120 µ, the film is particularly resistant, so it does not deform or tear even under higher pressure from the silage mass. It also prevents air and moisture from entering between the silo wall and the silage. This avoids unwanted fermentation in edge areas, preserving the nutritional value of the feed and improving the hygienic condition of the entire silage.

Protection for your concrete walls

In addition to protecting the feed, the protec side wall film also provides a significant structural benefit: it protects concrete walls from direct contact with silage acids, which over time can cause cracks or surface degradation.
Using the film demonstrably extends the service life of your bunker silos and reduces renovation costs.

Another advantage: the protec side wall film can be installed immediately and in almost any weather conditions. It adapts flexibly to wall surfaces and does not slip when correctly positioned. This saves time during filling and ensures continuous protection from floor to silo top.

Hygienic, flexible and easy to dispose of

The protec side wall film is fully compliant with feed hygiene standards. After use, it can be easily rolled up and disposed of properly. Thanks to its availability in various sizes, it can be individually adapted to any silo size – from small farms to large bunker silos with multiple compartments.
