Proper storage is essential to maintain the quality of your harvest until feeding. The protec premium straw fleece offers a decisive advantage thanks to its high weight of 160 g/m². The fabric is highly resistant to mechanical stress and minimizes further tearing in case of damage. Flapping in the wind is reduced, preventing abrasion of bale nets underneath the fleece.

The breathable material, with its soft and flexible structure, is easy to install. Securing your harvest with protec premium fleece 160 is optimally supported by using protec safeline and protec silage bags.

Important application notes

  • Only cover dry, storable straw.
  • We recommend placing the bottom layer of straw bales on pallets or a similar base to avoid ground contact.
  • Always install the fleece tightly with an incline of approximately 45° so that water can drain off easily.

The UV stability of the product can be significantly affected by exposure to minerals and chemicals such as sulfate, chlorine, copper, aluminum, and various crop protection agents. Environmental factors such as exhaust fumes, acid rain, and fuel residues can also have an impact.

For optimal application, the following points and the included installation instructions should be observed:
