The excretions of our farm animals are rich in nutrients, as feed is only partially broken down. Hard-to-digest fibre components usually end up completely in the slurry and can lead to the formation of floating layers and poor viscosity. Odour formation cannot be completely avoided either. In any case, odour indicates the loss of nutrients that are volatilising, such as ammonia from urea. For this reason, effective slurry treatment is essential!

Better flowability, less effort

The bacteria in the lagoon manure treatment agent use the nutrients in the slurry and produce fibre-degrading enzymes. These break down solids and reduce the formation of floating layers, crusts and sediment layers. This significantly reduces the energy and time required for stirring and pumping and ensures a more uniform consistency. This makes the slurry easier, more precise and more efficient to spread in the field – close to the ground and plant-available.

Less odour, more nutrients

Another advantage is the significant reduction in odour. Through the biological breakdown of nitrogen-containing compounds such as ammonia, valuable nutrients remain bound in the slurry instead of escaping. This not only improves fertiliser efficiency but also increases acceptance by nearby residents due to lower emissions.

Safe manure treatment

lagoon works in a natural way and is safe for animals, the environment and equipment. It can be used in all slurry storage systems – whether open lagoons or closed concrete tanks – and also works at low temperatures. In addition, lagoon helps reduce flies. Less odour means fewer flies, which leads to calmer animals, less stress and better performance, especially in summer.

The application of lagoon is simple. lagoon is a freeze-dried powder made of living microorganisms. The powder is dissolved in small amounts of water and added to the slurry, either in the barn or when filling the slurry tank. It does not matter whether it is a lagoon or a concrete tank. lagoon works independently of temperature.

Application & dosage

Per m³ of slurry, 5 g of lagoon must be dissolved in 10 litres of water and mixed in.

In the barn: pour between the slats or into the pit while the agitator is running. Apply every 14 days.

Slurry tank: pour lagoon solution into the filling hose/pump hose and pump into the tank together with the slurry.
