A good start
If that succeeds, many situations that follow become easier. This also applies to the start of life. If health-related hurdles have to be overcome again and again right from the beginning, it affects the entire course of later life. The same applies to our calves. We cannot influence everything for them, but we can support them.

Iron deficiency
One of the most important trace elements, as it is required for many bodily functions. The problem with calves is that they are born with very low levels and then have hardly any opportunity to replenish their existing stores (e.g. liver, bone marrow, muscle tissue, etc.). Neither colostrum (which is still very important) nor whole milk contains enough iron to cover even the daily requirement. Milk replacers also do not contain enough iron to replenish the stores; they usually only cover the daily requirement.
Immune system
As the concentration of antibodies from the colostrum decreases, the calf must produce its own – and this is exactly what it needs iron for. This iron comes from the aforementioned stores, which therefore need to be sufficiently filled. In this way, the immunity gap after about 14 days can be reduced, and the calf becomes less susceptible.
Initial care
With our mymom® start paste, you provide your calves with optimal support so they can start life well. In addition to the iron mentioned here, this paste also provides other rapidly available trace elements and vitamins. It also contains additional immunoglobulins from cow colostrum and digestive aids such as black cumin oil and probiotics – in short, everything needed to give the calf a good start in life and support healthy growth.
