rootac – natural plant growth enhancer

rootac is a plant-based plant growth enhancer that stimulates root development and promotes overall plant growth. In a completely natural way, it strengthens plant resistance against stress factors such as drought, heat, cold, flooding, and plant protection treatments. Through signalling substances, the plant is “vaccinated” against stress, allowing it to prepare itself before actual stress occurs.

Natural, sustainable & proven

rootac consists of purely natural, plant-based active ingredients that work as “signal substances” in very small doses. As a plant growth enhancer, it does not fall under fertiliser regulations and is therefore an environmentally friendly supplement to applied fertilisers.

The active ingredient in rootac has been in use for 30 years, and worldwide around 7 million hectares are treated with it – mainly in climatically challenging regions. Its effectiveness has been confirmed by numerous scientific studies.

Promotes yield performance & quality

rootac activates plant health and increases stress tolerance, for example during herbicide application. It stimulates root and plant growth, improving the uptake of water and nutrients. In addition, the plant growth enhancer intensifies flowering, stimulates metabolic processes, and increases sugar and starch content. This leads to more uniform grading and consistency of fruits, as well as extended shelf life of perishable products such as vegetables and fruit.

Customer feedback on rootac

An agricultural cooperative in Thuringia used rootac on a winter wheat field trial in 2018. On a total wheat field of 48 ha, the farm established four test strips covering 6.8 ha in total. Rootac was applied twice at six-week intervals. The first application was combined with a growth regulator, the second with a fungicide. All other measures were identical to the control area.

The crop manager reported that the rootac trial plots appeared visually greener and fresher. This effect remained even under increasing drought conditions during the dry summer of 2018. During harvest with yield mapping, it was found that the crop in the trial area was more uniform and showed lower yield variability. The yield in the trial area was 83.27 dt/ha, which was 10% higher than the control area at 75.7 dt/ha.
