Lactic acid bacteria are living organisms

Biological silage additives only work when the bacteria arrive in the silo in a healthy, active state!

  • The time between mixing and application should be kept as short as possible.
  • Tanks integrated into harvesting machines can heat up due to engine warmth, which may reduce product effectiveness.
  • The new vario pro dosing concept ensures long survival of lactic acid bacteria. In cold water, bacterial activity is reduced, and the sugar from the carrier substance of the silage additive lasts longer.

The vario pro dosing unit is a precise dosing system for silage additives, used on forage harvesters, forage wagons and balers. It enables accurate and efficient dosing of silage additives to optimise silage quality.
The vario pro features a robust stainless steel base, an integrated 12 V diaphragm pump with pressure switch, a stable cup filter, a pick-up sensor with magnetic switch and a non-return valve that prevents backflow and dripping. The flow rate is infinitely adjustable between 2 and 40 l/h.
Installation of the vario pro is simple and can be done independently. The electrical control unit allows stepless adjustment of the flow rate and can be conveniently mounted in the driver’s cab. The pickup sensor automatically interrupts dosing when the pickup is raised.
Through precise dosing of silage additives, the vario pro helps optimise fermentation and improve silage quality. Accurate distribution of the silage additive dissolved in water is important to avoid underdosing.
The vario pro accessories consist of: a nozzle set with 3 different nozzles (brass, orange, green) and two nozzle holders, a stable cup filter and a pick-up sensor with switch.
