The OXY MAX 50 barrier silage film for efficient farming

The OXY MAX 50 µ barrier film is the smart solution for anyone who values quality, efficiency and easy handling when covering their silo. With a thickness of just 50 µ, it offers extremely low oxygen permeability of only 0–0.5 cm³/m²/24 h. And this works completely without an additional underlay film.

Extremely oxygen-tight and robust

Many people think that the thickness (µ) of a silage film is crucial. However, the Dart Drop value is much more important – that is, the force required to puncture a silage film. A thin film with a high Dart Drop value can be significantly more resistant than a thicker film with a low value. The OXY MAX 50 has a particularly high Dart Drop value of 1,000 g.
The extremely puncture- and tear-resistant structure guarantees maximum safety – even under heavy use. In addition, the OXY MAX 50 µ, with oxygen permeability of only 0–0.5 cm³/m²/24 h, reliably protects against air ingress throughout the entire storage period. Due to its high gas tightness, it prevents oxygen from penetrating, which over longer storage periods can promote the growth of yeasts and moulds. This means that more nutrients are retained thanks to the airtight silage film, the risk of secondary heating is significantly reduced and feed quality is measurably improved. This is a clear advantage for animal health and the profitability of your farm.

Significantly less plastic

With OXY MAX 50 µ, up to 70% of plastic can be saved compared to conventional silage film systems. For an area of 10 x 50 metres, this corresponds to around 25 kg instead of the usual 90 kg – with the same level of protection.
In addition, the film is fully recyclable and significantly reduces not only material usage, but also the effort required for transport, handling and disposal. With up to 75% less weight than conventional silage films, OXY MAX 50 µ is significantly easier to handle. This saves time, reduces physical strain and lowers labour costs.

The film is available in custom widths of up to 80 metres – ideal for large-scale applications.
