orgacell sc 5/10 – dual yeast power for rumen stability & animal health

orgacell sc 5/10 is a high-quality complementary feed with a high content of live yeast and is ideally suited for cattle. It also contains inactive yeast, which additionally supports the digestive tract. Due to the inclusion of vegetable oil, the product is low in dust and easy to mix into the ration.

Inactive yeast

Due to their high binding capacity, yeast cell walls can bind toxins and pathogens and remove them from the animal without causing harm.

Live yeast

In orgacell sc 5/10, the live yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae supports the rumen by binding oxygen (O₂) and stabilizing the pH value. This complementary feed with live yeast for cattle supports beneficial bacteria, enabling better fiber digestion.
Thanks to the high-quality microbial protein in the yeast, more usable protein is available to the cow, which has a positive effect on milk production.

Trials have also shown that feeding live yeast increases the immunoglobulin content (IgG) in colostrum. As a result, calves absorb more IgG from the colostrum and show measurably higher IgG levels in the blood after 12 hours.

Feeding

Dairy cows: 20 g per animal per day
Start feeding 4 weeks before calving and continue throughout the entire lactation. Mix with other dry components into the daily ration.
In stress situations, the dosage should be increased to 30 g per animal per day.

Fattening cattle: 35 g per animal per day

Rearing calves: 10 g per animal per day

All measured values improved significantly:
Lower lactate and higher fatty acids indicate a reduction in acidosis risk and optimization of rumen processes. At the same time, higher fatty acids result in improved energy yield from feed. Together with increased glucose levels, this leads to higher milk production. The beta-hydroxybutyrate value (BHBA in blood) indicates energy balance. The lower value shows that live yeast relieved the cow’s metabolism. Our feed supplement with live yeast for cattle therefore offers many advantages.

From 1–2 weeks before calving throughout lactation until the dry period at a dosage of 20 g per animal per day. Can also be fed to fattening cattle (35 g), female young stock (15 g), and rearing calves (10 g per animal per day). Customer feedback on orgacell sc 5/10

A farming partnership from Saxony with 300 cows decided to use orgacell sc 5/10 in January 2019. This followed a detailed discussion about all orgacell sc products. It was important to choose a product with both live and inactive yeast. In April, the farm manager was satisfied but wanted to continue monitoring the herd. In November, he reported that performance had become more stable and the cows showed good feed intake. Cell counts had decreased, and he was very satisfied. In a later discussion the following year, he added that since using orgacell sc 5/10, the herd had no more issues. Running well!
