The protec barrier tube is used to securely seal the silo and is weighted down with silage bags. The openings for the silage bags can be individually cut into the barrier tube as needed. This allows the position and number of openings to be flexibly adapted to the respective conditions.

Application

Lay the barrier tube across the silo and cut it off approximately 50 cm above the ground – ideally directly below a handle loop. Thread a cable tie through the loop and tighten it around the tube. Then cut a suitable opening for the silage bags into the upper fabric layer of the tube at the slope, without damaging the lower layer.

Fill the tube with silage bags at the slope and also place silage bags on the tube on the silo.

When removing the silage, leave the tube behind the cut edge for as long as possible to minimize air ingress and thus spoilage of the silage.
