MethaPract products are formulated for biogas plants that mainly use renewable raw materials. Specifically developed for this application, the enzymes act both in the liquid phase and on solid substrate components.
The broad enzyme activity profile ensures the breakdown of plant cell wall structures. This makes the main energy carrier, cellulose, available to fermenter bacteria more quickly. This increases biogas yield.
In addition, water-binding hemicelluloses are broken down, which significantly reduces viscosity in the fermenter. At the same time, the mixing ability of the fermenter content is improved by smoothing surface structures.
All (enzymatic) effects contribute to preventing floating and sinking layers and make daily plant operation easier.
