In addition, the overall fermentation process is improved, resulting in higher digestibility, especially of the fiber fraction. The natural microorganisms present are diverse (fermentative bacteria, harmful bacteria, yeasts, molds). With so many variables, the exact course of fermentation is unpredictable.
